hada scare and went to see the midwife today. up until yesterday the baby has been moving TONS and very exaggerated movements too (like kicking my boob while i sit and making it jiggle) but yesterday i barely felt it all day. at this point in pregnancy thats not normal. i mean as the baby gets more cramped from growing it will not have tons of room to move but it shouldnt happen so acutely.
when i laid down to sleep i felt nothing. normally baby is like a diver on a diving board when i lay on my side and i felt nothing. so i rolled over to the other side....nothing. laid flat on my back which normally irritates baby and makes him/her struggle to get back in to a comfy postition....nothing.
i figured i would sleep and see if the morning brought better times.
in the morning the baby moved a bit but it was really sluggish and small movements like when i was 6 months pregnant. so i called the midwife and they said to come in for monitoring bc at this stage you gotta be vigilent when it comes to no movement or significantly less movement (baby can be in distress or have cord around neck tight etc)
after laying there for 2 hours and having the monitors wrapped around my tum tum....it was discovered that baby had HR of 135 and plenty of movement(small, but there) they gave me the green light. they think baby is wedged down and preparing to come out and kinda stuck...i think baby is preparing marco and i for what is to come in the future. a 50 year old child who never leaves home and plays video games.
