got to see some of my pgh peeps bc my cousin "mizz white chocolate" (nicole) put together a little somptin' somptin' so we could all meet up at a restaurant! not everyone could come but it was sooo nice to see everyone and to feel loved :)
then my friend annette,my mammie,and my sister gina wiena, put together a shower for me in the big "O". it was so nice, my friends and marcos friends came and we all spooned on the floor together. quite nice and i enjoyed myself immensely....then we watched a bit of my homemade documentary video that ive been putting together of this whole crazy pregnancy ride. people laughed until they urinated themselves, then excused each other for some cake.
sigh....i had a blast! we got a lot of gift cards so we didnt have to bring much on our plane ride back home, but we also got some smaller things that made it so nice so that we had a bit to open-i was just so happy that people came! even though my mum had to pay some of them to show and put invite flyers on the telephone poles , i didnt mind.
when i got home it was time for my REAL ultrasound from the midwife. i was 20 weeks exactly i think.
one of the crank-a-licious techs did the ultrasound. the heart beat was 143 and holy heck exxon was doing "the crane" like the karate kid. everytime the tech would try to count the heartbeat, he/she would kick the wand and it would send this huge POOSH noise...messing up her count. after about 3 attempts and karate kid at full force trying to pull a chuck norris on the wand, miss crank-a-licious looked at me and in all seriousness said "could you please make your baby STOP kicking my wand...gosh!" umm. ok napoleon dynamite.
at the end of the session she wasnt going to bust out a 3d pic until i threatened to defecate on her table...that is how i got my 3d pic. she said she was allergic to the smell of roses and since my poo----nevermind. but it was pretty sweet, i saw exxon yawn!loved it! i watch swallow tests at work to make sure the old people arent aspirating into their lungs and i see it from behind the xray screen....exxon looked just like that! the lady did measurements and it is (was) 8 inches long head to bum and weighed 12 oz.-she said babies nrmally are 10% of this weight at birth so i think that should make him/her 7.5lbs.....i can deal with that....i think lol
so, im feeling pretty good. my feet are a bit swollen and the cankles have begun. my boobs are getting bulb-ah-cious but ive still only gained 10lb according to my scale....wait...,thats the weight of my nipples. sorry. ive gained 9 lbs.
my headaches have subsided GLORY TO GOD and im not emotional yet but i do go from zero to ten in about 2 seconds instead of 5. im now starting to enjoy pregnancy and getting really excited :) i think next baby i will request that they just implant a 5 month fetus in to me and i will take it from there bc i am loving it now that all the side effects are gone.
